University of Surrey: UCAT score& entry requirements

Surrey is one of the UK's newer medical schools, and importantly it's graduate-entry only: you need a degree to apply. Its main admissions test is the GAMSAT — the UCAT is accepted only from applicants holding (or studying) a degree in specific science subjects — so most UCAT-focused school-leavers won't apply here.

How Surrey uses the UCAT

Surrey is graduate-entry, and its admissions test is primarily the GAMSAT. The UCAT is only considered for applicants who hold or are studying a degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Science, Chemistry or Natural Sciences — everyone else must take the GAMSAT. So if you're a school-leaver with a UCAT score, Surrey isn't a route for you; if you're a science graduate, your UCAT may be accepted in place of the GAMSAT.
