Liverpool's five-year BDS is a long-established dental degree with strong clinical training in the North West. Rather than ranking on the UCAT alone, it blends your UCAT and SJT with a non-academic questionnaire to decide who's invited to interview.

Applicants who meet the academic criteria are sent a Non-Academic Information Questionnaire, and the UCAT and SJT together make up around 40% of the Stage 2 ranking that decides interviews — so the UCAT matters, but it shares the load with your questionnaire responses. An SJT in Band 4 isn't deemed competitive. Liverpool is also strict on academics: no A-level resits, and it won't consider applicants who have retaken Year 12 or 13.
